All great info on the SS, picking up an OG Sled today and wondering where to start with the windfoiling set up? 87kg can get up on my Wizard 125 with mast base about 42" from leading edge of foil(front bolt as it is a Tuttle) . Sounds like I move the foil all the way forward, but where should I set the mast base?

The sail is much closer to the foil on the shred sled than most setups and this can be challenging for some at first. It was hard for me and took me a few months to tame it.
I started with the mast base in the middle and foil all the way back. I found that putting the mast base any further forward made it hard to uphaul. That's where I would recommend starting.
As I got more comfortable over the past year I have been slowly inching the mast back and foil forward. It improves maneuverability. The swing weight goes down. Pitch becomes more about your weight placement and less about mast base preassure. This makes surfing and contouring the waves easier and more responsive. At this point I ride with the mast base at the back of the track all the time, even with my 5.3. On the 4.5 or 3.7 I slide the foil forward to almost the front of the track.
I think UTCs advice is the go. He is our current shredsled expert.

I ended up concluding that strapless is the way to go for shredsled.

Thanks, I did see this, and want try the SS again for light wind. I set up my Wizard per this forums advice and works quite well, but never really could get the SS up on foil, and I'm pretty sure the foil was way back.
Starting out with a 5.3 or similar size I would reccomend putting the sail mid track and the foil all the way back.

This is the set up my Shred Sled came with, the previous owner was mostly "winging" on it, I want to Wing & Windfoil, is this setup for an optimum experience? Wings- 3.5/4.5/5.5 Sails- 4.2/4.8/5.2 Any thoughts on the fuselage?

Which wing is that? I can't quite tell. Also, that looks like a short fuse with only A and B positions?

Correct, A & B positions and a i99 wing.
Ok. I'm not sure about the fuse, seems better for winging. I needed to run the i99 in the C position when using a tuttle board and it was still a little back footed. I think with the track you can push it forward in the B position so that it is a little more lifty but the longer switch fuse should be more stable and give earlier lift that you may want for sailing.
The 114 wizard could get it positioned right for winging or windfoiling but the track position was more forward for winging. I did use it in both C and B for windfoiling but the longer fuse and track box makes that irrelevant. But you will be short that lift and stability. Maybe it'll feel good and be nice and turny?
Other guys more experienced with that shorter fuse may have some thoughts. I don't know this firsthand so keep that in mind.

Does anyone know if the HOVER GLIDE FORGED SWITCH LONG FUSE 78CM is the same as a Fuse that would have a "C" position?

I think the fuse with a, b, and c positions has to be the long fuse. I'm not sure the length. I'd also keep my eyes open for a used infinity 76. The 99 will get going very early but it's like driving a big cadillac vs. the faster and turnier 76. You may like the 99 with the shorter fuse. Not sure about a 76.

Great for wing. Probably they will want to add a 76 or 84 for moderate air windfoil
Time to get it in the water mate! I am not fluent in SS foils or fuses. But every one mentions that the 99 is back footed so put the foil further forward in the track and the MB in the middle. Give it a go. Short fuse and compressed geometery will be a big pill to swallow all at once but you have the gear why not try. It will be LOOSE for sure! Get the longer fuse when you can. Pick a safe spot and mellow conditions and let us know how it rides.

SS now offers high aspect wings for that fuselage, I'd skip the Infinities if the person wants to wing.
