Hey Guys,
im looking for a longer Mast for my 2021 SAB 85 Vento Foilset. It came with a FS900 Fuse.

For bigger Chop/Waves I want a longer Mast. Unfortunately, ab bigger mast would be very expensive due to the new Kraken System (1300? for Mast+Fuse+DTB).
I saw some guys, that put Masts from a Slingshot Ghost Whisperer on a SAB/Moses?! Fuse with SAB/Moses?! wings (eg. W790).
The Sets with a 100 or even 110 Mast are much cheaper, than a single new mast. So I am wondering if GW Masts and SAB/Moses Fuses are compatible.

I had a potential SS seller give me some measurements. The measurements were identical - except for one. The length of the mast mount on the SS Ghost Whisperer is 134mm, on the newer 21 SAB Vento it is 137/138mm. Unfortunately, I can not perform the measurement myself.

If the fuses are indeed different:
- Does this apply to all SS GH masts? (MJ?!)
- Can you still put the SS mast in the SAB/Moses fuse - or can it come to material failure when foiling?
- Has anyone ever tested the whole thing and can report whether he has a gap between the two parts or any other Problem with the Combo?

SS Fuse:

The Moses 900 / 900 HS will work with the GW Windsurf Mast. Keep in mind that GW had different mast and not sure if they are all the same opening.

Thank you!
What exactly do you mean by different masts? DTB/Plate?!
What exactly should I look for? For the moment I am only look for GH sets with DTB and 101 and 111 cm mast length and a 683 or 639 wing. Are there then still differences?

First I would wait for Gwarn to respond. He is a member here and had one. I sold my 900 fuse to a guy that wanted to make sure it worked with his GW windsurf mast. It fit. There might be a difference in the plate to tuttle mast. I don't know because I have never had the green one in my hands.

This is the mast that does work.

Might be harder to find one.

The GW mast must be the tuttle head to fit the 900 or 900HS fuselage.
The GW683 and GW639 wings only fits on the 838 fuselage.
The GW plate masts are for kiting and have a much smaller mast to fuse slot.(The Green One)
I ride the 111 mast I have one Moses and one GW
I can say that I have well over 600+ hours on my set.
If you have the chance to pick 111 mast I say go for it.
Also you will need to change the barrel nuts on the GW mast as they are M8 (Moses are M6 ) they push out easy and new one are a couple of bucks each.

I just found out that the Moses kraken will add a 113 mast in October so I will move over to the kraken then.

Do you mean barrel nuts for the tuttle? I didn't have to change mine

Can confirm that the GW mast fits on the 900 fuses (not the new 899 HS). Unfortunately the fuse the GW came with only fit two front wings. The GW mast will also fit some of the longer race fuses too.

just be aware that going from the stiff 85 vento mats to the GW101 or 111 will be a bit strange because the gw mast twist a lot when you fly really high on it.

I use the SAB W105 carbon mast with an integrated deep tuttle head (not the Kraken top). Very stiff. A bit expensive, but they are still available. Since I live in the USA, I prefer 1/4-20 bolts on top. Sailworks replaced the 6mm barrel nuts for 1/4-20 when I bought it.

NoLimitz also makes a carbon 93cm mast that fits Ghost Whisper/Moses

the wide part of the plug is ~136mm and the short part of the taper is ~132mm

For the money/quality can't go wrong with the ghost whisperer masts. I only ride the 111. No problems with twist at height. I crank the board over really hard in turns sometimes get the wing tips out and the mast responds the way it should very little flex and the 799 keeps going after tip ventilation like it is designed to. I dont go bigger then the 799 but can say it can handle the 873 if your into the bigger wings. I'm 155lbs, if it can handle Gwarn running down swell slashing turns in 30kts+ I reckon it works well . Will never go back to a sub 100cm mast now

For sure it works well but i think you feel a bit more the flex with 1 meter mast than the 85 cm. I tried the 799 today for the first Time on the new 83 kraken mast... This wing is perfect: fast , turny and really low stall speed.
