I have a First Gen Naish WS1 Foil and looking at tweaking the rear wing foil. I have already cut off the vertical tail they came with and this made it a lot looser. Next phase was to widen the wing to approx 500mm and add in upwards facing wing tips. Aiming for similar look to the Starboard IQ rear wing.
My goal is free sailing not racing.I find the front wing still feels good but the rear wing needs more.
Has anyone done something similar? Any feedback welcome.
rear wing (also called a stabilizer) needs more lift?, you can increase lift easily with a shim that moves leading edge of stabilizer downward, try a 0.5 mm shim made from thin plastic (like that used to package a product).
you can buy the 2020 onwards stabs that will fit with an adapter, not sure if you will still be able to modify the stab angle

Thank you. Didn't realise you could retro fit. I sail with a lift all the time and just thought a wider stabiliser may make it more fun
I have both kite and ws stabs.
Kite is more responsive, ws....bigger, more stable.
Also have newer 210 and 310 stabs. Same O.
