Does anyone know if the slingshot phantasm pfi 730 fits on the moses 900 fuse?

Have heard of people using moses wings on the phantasm fuse, which leads me to believe the fuse wing mount is the same design?

The only thing know is that a kite shop put the Moses 1100 big ass wing on the phantasm fuse and it fit kind of ,think it still had a little gap you might do a search I think it was a Shop in Houston Texas ?

On the phantasm pfi 730 kit does anyone know what the distance from the trailing edge of the wing to the leading edge of the mast is

I tryed out the moses vento 790 foil recently and found it really back foot heavy even with a 2.5 deg shim. I realized the trailing edge of the 790 is only about 2.5 inches from the leading edge of my mast. If I remember correctly my infinity 76 was around 3 inches and unlike the 790 the leading edge on the i76 sticks out further past the fuse similar to how the pfi 730 is setup.

Hey Connor,

My 730 wing should arrive this week and I'll also with have all 3 fuses (Surf, Wing and Wind length fuselages) each fuse will yield a different measurement. I will let you know.

The 730 on the 872 (long fuse) the distance between the trailing edge of the wing and leading edge of mast is 4.5"

the distance between the 926 and mast is 6.5"

Thanks Dean for those measurements. Is the 4.5" in the 1st pic comparable to the infinity 76 on the hover glide set in 'B' position?
Would be curious to see how the new plane sets over the old kit.

Let us now how your first rides go

Connor side by side the phantasm and HG are extremely close.
both measure 4.5" (HG in B position)

Yesterday i put my good old 873 Moses wing on my Phantasm fuse an it did fit perfectly.

The 926 was just too small for the light and patchy wind we had yesterday (winging with 6.4)

Maybe move the footstraps all the way back?

All the phantasm gear is really slow getting to market as we all know. Buying wings separately will not be available until December from what I'm told. Will see if I can get a try on one before then.

I also just tryed the moses 450 stab on my GW 111 foil and liked it much better then the 483 I was using before. Wounder why slingshot decided to use down turned winglets on their phantasm stabs?

I test fit my W790 on the Phantasm 710mm fuse and there was a ~1mm+ difference in fit/curve. there were also small gaps when I test fit the stabilizer. These small differences could be addressed with shims as the hole spacing is the same on both the front wings and stabs.

Would have been really cool if the mounts were the same.... would open up fuses and wing sets.

I just put my PTM 926 on a moses fuselage and it is very close too. There is a tiny gap between the fuselage and the wing towards the front of the wing at the spot where I marked the photo in yellow. You can only see the gap if you shin light through it. When I put the moses wing on the phantasm fuselage there was a similar size gap but towards the rear of the wing.

Thanks for the photos Roland!
Curious if that moses stringfella fuse puts the mast in a different spot on the fuse compared to the 900. Let me know if you can compare both fuses and see if the front wing trailing edge is 6.5" from the mast leading edge like the phantasm?

I only have the phantasm short fuse so not sure if I can make the comparison.

So after lots of research and gathering information I seem to have an idea of where the masts are placed on the slingshot vs moses fuse and what settings would work best. I'm trying to see if Jim stringfellow can make me a fuse like the one he sells through mac kite 880mm long.www.google.ca/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://www.mackiteboarding.com/amp/custom-moses-super-fuse-surf-fuselage/&ved=2ahUKEwiA7ZW2q6zzAhWQTN8KHXyvCCMQFnoECAMQAQ&usg=AOvVaw3eC36z_gKDZXShq8XHzufi&cf=1 But with a windsurf mast cutout as this one is for kite masts only and these dimension(see drawing). Would be very similar to the slingshot phantasm fuse as they put the mast about 40-45mm futher back compaired to the moses 900. Very smart the way Jim added the removable spacer block 45mm long to give you an option to move the mast; back if you are using big surf wings and forward if you use smaller high aspect wings to get the center of lift in the right spot for those of us that use tuttle box boards

The magic number for the slingshot wizards and most boards that have the rear straps over the tuttle box is 4.5" from trailing edge of front wing to mast leading edge. That is what the infinity 76 and pfi 730 are put at. Now that I know the moses fuse puts the mast an extra 1.75" further forward then the phantasm I realize why the 790 felt so backfooted!
I
this is the moses 900 fuse with 799 wing.
Thanks Roland for the photos.

Connor, you asked for the foto with w950. Caliper is in inch mode.

Thanks for the pics Pat. Glad your able to get that setup dialed in. A bit surprised you needed the -1 deg shim.

The -1 deg shim makes a huge difference. The w950 is faster and strong gusts are not making me scary anymore

I concur about shimming the W950 with S450 stab. I shim with -0.5, and, yes, it makes a huge difference. -1.0 even more so. The fuse is the 900.

This negative shimming levels the angle of attack so that when a gust hits, the foil just goes forward rather than further up. Yes, it all requires more back foot to control lift, but that's what I actually want. It is a very nice ride.

I just put the moses 873 wing on the phantasm fuse and the fit it very good. Seems more flush than the 633 wing on the phantasm fuse.

That is good to hear Roland. You should try the 873 on your windfoil in light winds to see how it compares to the HA phatasm 926 wing.

I'm about two weeks out from trying the new wings but this is a aprox wing placement relative to my straps for the 873 and 720. I have front straps all the way forward and rears all the way back. I usually put the rears one hole forward of this postion.

^^^ 873 overtop of 683 wing, 873 also protrudes about 5" past the leading edge of the 683

I still haven't tried the 926 wing on the windfoil. Only been using the 799 since I got it. One day when I have some time I will compare the 799, 873 & 926
