Very cool, thanks for posting. From what I've seen of the manufacturing process, the sail is molded on a mandel from a pretty durable material. Pretty interesting North is putting that much $$$ in tooling for windsurf sails. The light weight aspect is very appealing.

I got the opportunity to demo a 4.2 North Wave Clear. Thanks to Reg and Dan at Windsurfing Perth the sail is now mine, really didn't want to give it back![]()
This is a featherweight sail, begging to be thrown around. Sheet in and the power is there and yet it can be depowered almost instantaneously. I'm rigging with the boom in the centre of the cutout, boom 148cm. Combine high aspect with lightweight and transitions can be taken to another level.
I found the sail stable through a good wind range. Able to pump up in about 14 knots and comfortable to a little over 20. (88kg ,Sabfoil 799 ,custom board)Thanks for the shots Stanly![]()
I think i saw you one day down at leighton?
How do you compare them to the simmer wave sails?
Lighter and Darker![]()

Light is an understatement it's like a feather in your hands.
It's been a slow learning curve riding this sail for me the handling characteristics are 100% different then my Ezzy Taka sails.
I'm also having a little trouble with some high frequency leach flutter.
I have a whole baja winter to work it out.![]()

Can you elaborate?
My fingers and toes are already numb - mentions of Baja or other warm northern hemisphere locales aren't helping and I consider them pretty darn rude. ![]()
