In the last few month, purchased tested couple of new front wings from gong, first, veloce h 950cm2, fast but not super stable, and twitchy in transitions, added front extension to fuselage that did help some, but overall would not recommend. Now just got, tested ypra s 1000cm2,this one got everything right, takes off earlier, fast but response, gives good feedback, and transitions are great. Also, got new board custom production from Tillo., Re-worked copy from board from year ago, small changes but results are great too

Love the colors. I really must try such a short sail/foil configuration sometime.

I have the Veloce H 950 as well and it's challenging. Just doesn't work for me in the short period chop we get.

Very fast though.

That's was one of the reasons for the post, Ypra s 1000cm2 with aspect ratio 8.2? and more curvey shape resolves issues veloce H or other high aspect(10?) front wings have

They had the Ypra S labeled for slalom use when I was buying. If they'd labeled them appropriately that's what I would have gotten.

As it is I've moved to another manufacturer because the new Gong stuff just isn't durable enough.

year ago most brands went high aspect, than pulled back a bit because hight aspect were too unstable, with Gong and their huge offerings easy to make a wrong choice in wings on top of high aspect craze. I'm very relieved Ypra S did deliver on what I wanted. Durability, could you elaborate? I actually find quality very good.

The new H tail basically fell apart when it touched hard sand, I wasn't even riding just carrying the gear in at a beach break.
My other foils are waaaaay more durable.

Funny, the new redesign of stabilizer H in Gong is the reasons I didn't switch to other brand

Interesting comments here re: durability. I broke two pro stabs in the surf when pushed against the bottom, and the third one is beginning to crack at the narrow neck. At that's not even from a hard hit, but from brushing it against a buoy on a river (didn't see it coming behind the wing, while taxiing).
Then there is an always present issue with the front wing developing a wobble after an hour. Even with an extra (4th) hole through the wing. I'm currently mitigating it with locktite in the threads. Going to drill and tap a third channel through the fuse I guess.. Love Gong's inexpensive yet performant stuff, but can't really gripe on their FB page - have seen others reporting issues and getting snarled at by the moderators:)

I use Teflon tape in connection of fuselage and wings, got rid of the wobble, also a little longer screw that the ones provided

Don't DARE suggest their equipment is not as durable as it needs to be. I got absolutely lit up for that.
Lost me as a customer and lost my recommendation.
