Has anybody here sailed this combination? I am not interested in one design racing, but am thinking of trying foiling and this combo looks like it might be a good allround combo. I am looking at the board and foil only, will supply my own rig. If you have tried it, please share your thoughts.

I have a mate who uses the RSX convertible foil with a JP Foil Board and since he went from the NP AL foil to the RSX he's getting much better flights. I'd buy the RSX foil if I could.

I have tried a year and a half ago, at the time it was pretty good, but today I'd rate it just a "decent' combo...
The board is actually a pimped up 122RRD x fire with very nice construction.

The blue alloy foil is way better than the pink one. But still needs some air to get going. And is getting a bit old compared to what is out now.

As mad lad said the carbon rsx would be better but is also a bit dated now...

As an example the local dealer is offloading the rsone combo at 2500$ actually, in prevision of the new NP al foil which looks way better !

Thanks for the replys Maddlad and Seanhogan. My dealer in Canada is selling the RS: One board with the blue foil for $1999. They sell the RS Flight 4 foil only for $1699. They don't have the RSX foil. The boards I have now are not suited for a foil. I am thinking the RS One combo may be a reasonable (cheaper) way to give foiling a try. I'm tempted to bite.

I have not sailed this combination. But I have the rs:one AL convertible foil paired with a 08' formula board. Only been out twice second time out was able to get a bit longer fights of around 10-20 m before touched downs. Seems pritty stable. Crashes are scary but fun at the same time.
Have not tryed other foils but for the price I do not see any better deals out there right now. I got going in 6-8 knots today flying in the gusts. Excited to see where this foil can take me.

No, did not buy it. By Sunday night I was convinced that was what I would get. Monday morning the bay that I sail out of was calm, so I went out on my SUP and took readings of the depth. Too many areas were a meter or less, not good for a foil. So Tuesday I bought a new JP 145 litre board and an 8.0 Sailworks sail.
