Hi,

It looks like Naish have dropped the abracadabra system for the new s25 windsurf foil.

It seems a bit wierd that it only lasted for 1 season.

Has anyone been using the Naish abracadabra system for windfoiling and if so, are there any issues with it?

Thanks

Yeah I have and it's great but for wingfoiling apparently they are bringing it out again for the new mast setup because I've ordered one just that the top plate that goes into the abracadabra track plate is permanently fitted to the mast not like the current one that you can take off the mast. I think they have only made a limited amount though.

System is nice but in my case not really durable. The thread of that single screw broke a few weeks ago. When tightening it by hand, the plastic bent horribly and screw got loose after 20min surfing. When using the screwdriver Tx30 it was firm and never loose but obviously broke after 10-15 days. Now got the new mast with standard plate. A lot lighter and helicoil threads. Hope it lasts longer.

My 2020 mast also came shipped with a broken thread out of the factory. Still waiting for replacement. Think without a lawyer they do not react.

Thought this is the 2rd season.
Got mine as a 2019 closeout product late last year.
They stress you tighten it with a screwdriver.
Just last week I set it for my short mast.
Had it in van set with long mast, but I hate the 90 cm mast.

I have 2,1 on my Windfoil with a 90 mast and 1 on my wing board.
i recon the abra system is brilliant.
i haven't had any issues other than a stripped plastic knob on one of the sets that I glued back in place.
IMO the secret is not to do it up too tight....finger tight is enough.

I love the Naish abracadabra system and I've use it heaps windfoiling without any problems.

Yes they still have it.. even with their new S25 mast.

I still use it wingfoiling.. and it make set-up so much quicker.

Thanks for all the replies.

My mistake, I think it did come out in 2019, so 2 seasons.

Someone had told me it was not great for windfoiling due to there only being 1 screw (that connects the foil to the base plate) and then I saw all the promo stuff for the S25 windsurf foil which does not mention the abracadabra plate - so I feared they had dropped it.

Sounds like it gets good reviews, which is great because I have just bought the 2020 windsurf foil with Abracadabra fitting!

i have the 95cm standard plate and yes not as quick to mount but the Abracadabra system is only 75cm , we have the older 85cm Abracadabra but if you start jumping a lot than the plate does bend a little and could fail , the new s25 foil is really nice and the wider mast and 95cm height makes for a really nice feel .

Had a look at the S25 HA surf and sup foils today friends of mine are winging on them. Naish have really steped up their game with the new bonded mast fuse ect very well thought out and quit a bit of weight loss. they do sell a tuttle mast 85-95 but none of their boards come with a tuttle box. I have never tried a naish windsurf foil so I can't say how they preform.would love to put the HA wing and Stab. on the windsurf fuse but from what I can tell you can't buy wings separate at least for now.
Also they have a 105 hover windsurf with inboard strap settings 200cm long about the length of a 125 SS Wizard but 65cm wide so quite a bit narrower and more tail volume than their past boards interesting.

That's true, the new 95 mast feels nice but at a very steep price. The mast doubles its price tag which makes a 2nd mast very expensiv. But that holds true for their new wings as well. Would like to have the 1800HA wing but it is too pricey. I will keep the naish setup as it rides great(1150 & 1650) but will go for Moses when buying new stuff. The 1100 wing sounds to be great and will not be worse.

My abracadabra failed, maybe because I used large wings for windsurf foiling, which puts more stress. The thin lips that slot into the mount started cracking. I think the new system is a lot more solid because it has full thickness all the way and does not take much longer to fit.
