My fuse along with two attached wings broke off my mast yesterday as a result of hitting a fish whilst foiling. ( photos of breakage attached)
I was wondering, if like some other folk I sail and foil with have suggested, the breakage is a result of poor design or some other fault. I wasn't going very fast either. I'd just taken off and was cruising then bang, crack. Now my fuse and attached wings are sitting on the bottom of the lake
Grrrrr.
I was thinking if the breakage is a result of poor design I might switch brands which I've been thinking about doing for a bit now anyway. It seems some of the other brands have a larger range of options for wind foiling.

This is a known issue with these Naish foil masts. It happened to me as well. Apparently there was a factory recall and replacement program. Contact your Naish dealer.

Thanks mate. Will do. Did you get a new mast on warranty ?
Same happened to me when I hit something. Naish were very good and replaced the mast, they just wanted proof that I hadn't bent it (I.e. by hitting the seabed at speed).

The local Naish guys were very good. They replaced my lost foils and fuse.
Good to know. Hopefully I get the same.
Did you have your foil gear registered with Naish for warranty?
