Yes AUS817, single day event this round. All the information about the series on the Stormriders web site. Single day payment can be made there, as is much preferred. See you there tomorrow for briefing at 11.

Competitors were greeted with grey skies and not much wind on what promised to be a reasonable day. The rain began to fall and it was all looking pretty ominous, until the wind shifted to the south and we were on.

8 - 14knts filled the course as we pushed to get a race away pronto. Race 1 was conducted in a patchy breeze which seemed to follow certain competitors around the course whist giving other some thinking time. The Formula fleet started 1 minute ahead of the Foil fleet with Glen and Pommy Sam (not Sam Parker) making good progress on the foils upwind.

As soon as Race 1 was completed we prepared for Race 2, which had sufficient wind at the start but unfortunately faded after 10 - 15minutes into the race which was then abandoned.

Thanks to all those who made the trip up and it was great to see some new enthusiastic faces in the fleet on what was a rather average day, but we all made the most of it and any day on the water beats one at home.

Special big thanks to John Bear for giving up a day to sit on the start boat in the rain.

Official results to follow.

Thanks to Marmong Point Windsurfing Club, specifically Muz and John Bear for doing the hard yards in the boat on a nasty wet day.
Much appreciated.
