The count down is on for Heat 1 of the Series to be held at Ramsgate Beach at Botany Bay on Saturday 7th October 2017.
Windsurf n Snow have generously gotten behind the series, and are offering unprecedented prizes and also the opportunity to demo and experience the foiling craze.
All the latest foiling kit will be at the first event to view, ask questions and experience on the water. It should also provide for some interesting viewing watching people experience the thrills and spills for the first time.
In between the foiling demo's there will be plenty racing where we will see how these foils go against the muscle men of the sport on the formula boards.
Where: Emmaline Street Ramsgate Beach
When: Saturday 7th October, registration 10am for a 12pm first start. (if unsuitable forecast event will be rescheduled for Sunday 8th October)
Want to win a Neil Pryde RS-Flight Al Foil, get along to the series,
more events you attend the more chances you have at winning (random lucky draw prize)
in total 2 foils being awarded for the season, prize drawn at Myall Lakes State Tiles.

After much deliberation the event organizers in association with event sponsors have elected to run the event on Sunday 8th October, opposed to the Saturday 7th, in the interest of better conditions.
We are sorry for the short notice but the forecast for Sunday of a building 10 - 16knt North easterly is much more favorable opposed to a decreasing southerly of 8knts.
Elected race & demo day - Sunday 8th October
Registration from 11:00am
First race 1:00pm (we intend to race late into the afternoon to take advantage of a building breeze).
Please ensure your membership is paid up with your nominated club.
no membership = no insurance = no participation
Membership to Stormriders will be available on the day also
You can enter the event or series via the following link;

Looking forward to seeing everyone for a great day of demo's and racing in ideal conditions.

Heat 1 results on the FB page: (Preliminary). Windsurfing NSW Tour
Not sure if this was the 1st windsurfing-foiling event in NSW or even Australia, but regardless it was great to have so many people rock up to try all the demo foils and even more encouraging that 7 guys actually had a crack at racing. (Thanks to Sponsor, WindsurfnSnow and the other companies that demo-ed their foils)
Thanks to the Formula guys for being so accommodating and encouraging this new and exciting aspect of the sport. It was great to be involved with an established class.Sunday provided 4 races in 10-16knot NE winds.
Basically perfect racing conditions and plenty of wind to be flying around.

Big day on the water!
I am very happy to have survived three races.
Kurnell is a great place to sail with perfect facilities for racing all classes of Windsurfers. The race committee were very accommodating and I loved the three minute sequence. Is this something we could adopt for Formula Class Racing?
