Lovely video, and no Gorgesailor that is a FAST (wave) foil! It is doing 13-17 knots!!!! Can't circle that, maybe ellipse it. The wings I do circles around are literally walking on water, like Jesus! They must be doing at most 8-10 knots, kind of amazing they can stay up but there they are! ![]()

Hah! ... yeah I know what you mean... however it is coming. You will see more & more experienced wave/free foil guys going pretty quick both on sails & wings... just a matter of the newbies getting a bit more time on the wings... I have been impressed here by what marginally powered guys on Slingshot & similar gear are doing. One of my first times being impressed by Foil was a day where I was planing off & on with a 5.0 & 100ltr Freestyle board - perfect weather for your 7.5 ACX... when I saw Rob Warwick launch with a 4.2 Wavesail & small Slingshot foilboard. He was flying around at good speed going upwind, foiling jibes, jumping etc & he has 10-20lbs on me. Now he is a talented sailor on any gear, but the potential is clearly there.
Great video - how did you film it? Are you having to edit out the Go Pro mount or is there software that does it all for you these days? Also how are you getting away with such a small sail when the state of the water in the vid doesn't seem that windy?!!

It's a gopro max: 360 camera on a back mount. If you have the camera aligned correctly you don't end up seeing the pole. Not sure if the software looks for the pole and eliminates it
The gopro software is pretty amazing at stitching the footage from both lenses
It was blowing close to 20knots. I think the footage is kind of deceptive. Some of those swells were prob 1m trough to crest
