I have a starboard race foil (non-evolution) with 115plus fuselage, 800 front wing and 255 back wing. I would like to use this with one of the newish slalom foil boards specifically the 2024 JP slalom board 88 which is 209cm long. Would this board be too short for the 115plus fuselage even with the mast base all the way to the front? Would there be too much front foot pressure?

Any advice much appreciated. Other option would be to buy a 95plus fuselage for this type of board.

thanks

No clue about that board and the 115. If you had it already I'd say try it but it seems you are looking so not sure.

But, the 105+ is better and more stable than the 95+. Its almost only tail length that got added vs the 115+ has a more forward front.

Depends on which fuse exactly it is if its a 115+ it's far from ideal. If its the old black fuse, still not ideal but it'll work a little better.

The 115+ fuselage is for upwind/downwind. I use it with a 76cm and 85 com board. It works with both. The distance between the front bolt and the mast base is 42 inches. if you want the slalom board for across the wind or speed sailing, you might want the 105+ fuselage.

Many thanks for the advice. I was actually thinking about the 105+ but here in UK is very difficult to find any

I am very interested in this post because I am in a similar situation. I have a Patrick Airinside 200 that I use for Formula Foil and Exploder foils with a 115 fuselage. I don't know if it is better to buy shorter fuselages and continue with the same board or buy a slalom foil board and continue with the same foil set.

Something you can try, if possible.

lay the assembled fuselage/front wing on top of the board you intend to use it on, align the mast/fuse cavity over the Tuttle bolt holes (the bolt holes, not the chimneys). The closer the front wing is to the front foot strap position/s, the more lift you're going to get from the front wing. Normally the front wing leading edge will be anywhere between 50% and 75% of the way to the front foot straps from the rear ones fora stable ride. It's lift you can't really tune out if it's too close. If the leading edge is much further forward than that, you'll more than likely start to have a really bad time as the wind picks up and speeds increase. It might be all good in 12knots, you'll probably be a passenger as it approaches 15- 20 knots.

If you're looking to do slalom foil and improve speeds, i'd be aiming to get a hold of a 105+ fuse if you can. The 95+ is probably a better situation than the 115+, but it's no where near as stable a ride as the 105. It needs more constant rider input for pitch.
