Hello,

I looking to improve the low end of my actual light wind setup a JP freefoil 105 with M92 mast and W909 and loftsails skyscape 5,8.
I am thinking a leviathan 1160 to stay with M8 do you have any feedback on this setup?
any other idea on light wind front wing?
thank you

Not sure how the leviathan 1160 compares to the leviathan 950, but the levi 950 was a pig windfoiling, super draggy and didn't turn. I didn't do a side by side comparison but I think my 999 has same or close to the same low end as levi 950. 999 is slow (not slower than Levi 950) but turns great and still has the feel of my smaller freeride foils.

If you are rocking 909 why not just get the balz 969?

I agree with the 969 as the next bigger one to the 909. 999 is great at the very low end and still good turning. The levis for windfoiling? No!

Hello,

I am afraid that the 969 will be to close in terms of range with the 909. I did feel that with 899 and 799 in the past ending using mainly 899.

I just fort the pro for leviathan that s?rie is suppose to be faster than the normal

I'm telling you about my experience in finding the ideal wing for super light wind.
Initially I bought the 999 which like Thedoor, is slow but still turns like a smaller wing.
Later I bought the Leviathan 1350, which takes off only a little easier than the 999 but once in the air, it generates a brutal drag and is almost impossible to gybe with it. A nightmare for windfoiling.
Later I bought the Tortuga 1250 and that is a different story. It takes off much easier than the 999, it generates speed despite its large size since it is relatively thin, more than the 999 and with some technique, it allows me to gybe easily.
It takes off with just a minimum of pressure on the sail, pumping the sail and the foil at the same time. Once the board is in the air, it accelerates easily and maintains flight without problem.
If the wind drops a little, I can pump the foil easily.
I can comfortably hold up to about 12-14 knots, then I change to the 899. I've already ruled out the 999 as the light wind wing.
