A few shots from Mallorca (Spain), with 20-23 knots, 4.0 sails(overpower) but nice feeling of floating in the jumps. Love freefoiling in high wind!!

The foil is the Baltz M?ller Sabfoil. Front wing 799 and rear wing 399. The board is Goya Airbold pro 105.

Agree, there's a lot to be said for launching and that foil set loves to launch! First post here, apologies as in the UK (!) but not much windfoil specific chat opportunities. Have recently switched from fast freeride / slalom windfoiling to the twisty/turny stuff. Enjoying it far more to be honest. Probably just buying into marketing and Balz-inspiration but I'm happy!

Good shot!!! I'm agree with you, and sorry for my poor english. I love at the same time the speed-slalom foil and freefoil. The feeling of the freefoil is a total control when the conditions for the slalom foil are difficult, and very relaxed sailing in very chop conditions without problem. Also I love how easy is jump, and the feeling of total control in the jibes in the air, more easy of a planning jibe with fin, and surfing swell waves is a fantastic feeling. I began with foil 7 years ago to have an alternative for low wind, but now I don't have any fin board; In our local conditions, there's only 5-6 times a year exclussive for fin, and finally I feel I have more control with freefoil than fin, and I abandoned the fin. I thing if the wing wouldn't have appeared, the freefoil would be more popular. But for the industry is a bad bussiness to use the wave sails, only changing board and foil. Wind the wing you need a completely new equipment, good business for the industry .

Great Pictures guys. Riding strapless I will not be jumping anytime soon. But it looks fun!

I agree that the freefoil side and particularly the WWF side of the industry is under appreciated. At least for freestyle there is guys like Balz and some of the Slingshot crowd showing us what can be done. What we need is the PWA to have WWF events so we have pro's to show us how it can be done and manufactures develop more WWF specific gear.

However in the mean time I am more than happy to watch JJ and his posse, along with the others on this form.

I sold all my fin boards, I am so Happy with windfoiling i think is ideal for.local conditions
