I was sitting right behind my upside down board with mounted AFS Wind95 foil at the beach when I noticed the rear wing was crooked, left rear wing tip was higher than right rear wing tip compared to front wing, took a little sanding of fuselage mount and a 0.14" plastic shim on the left side of rear wing to get it perfectly aligned with either front wing, F1080 or F770. The new AFS foils have wider fuselage mounts which would help align the wings, rear wing mount on Wind95 is very narrow, though Wind95 front wing mount is wider and both front wings mount 90 degrees to mast.

Anyone checking to see it the rear wing is in the same plane as the front wing? I always assumed mine were and then I looked.

Is the fuselage itself twisted?

Do not think so, it is solid carbon, when I mount the rear wing it sits level on the fuselage mount, but as I tighten the screw it causes the wing to rotate. Thinking maybe the screw recess in the wing is off, and as the screw gets tightened it wants to seat in the recess, if that recess is not aligned right it would cause the wing to rotate.

When I first got my AFS-2 in 2017, yes, the stab was canted a couple degrees off the front wing. A little sanding on one side of the stab cradle fixed it. Sailworks had told me there were a few AFS-2 foils like that. Their team riders and early customers all fixed it the same way.

Okay, I tried that, and it helped mostly because there were raised carbon "donuts" around the two screw holes on the fuselage mount, thought the donuts fit inside the rear wing screw hole, but apparently not. Sanding the donuts flat got the rear wing close to level, but the 0.14" plastic shim got it perfectly level.

What I have noticed since aligning the rear wing is my up wind angles are much better especially going 270 to 360 degrees, I no longer feel a flutter when close to breaching (rear wing left tip would be the first to break the surface of the water), and now instead of breaching and having the board nose dive, I apply front foot pressure and the foil just slips back under water without a hiccup! And in very light winds, instead of the board/sail getting stuck "in irons" right after the flip, the board now glides though the sail flip. So having the front and rear wings aligned is very important.

Looks like AFS didn't got any QC at all. Quite strange for a 1500/2500 price tag product...

Well everything else was straight, and has held up great, but I too was surprised someone did not notice it at AFS, but then not sure how they would have fixed it, my sanding of the fuselage mount got it close to level, but needed a side shim to get perfectly level.

The thing is, when I mount the rear wing on the fuselage it fits snug and level in the fuselage mount, it is only when I tighten the screws that the rear wing starts to rotate out of level. I think either the nuts in the fuselage, or the beveled holes in the rear wing, are not aligned or off center.
