Back in December 2020 JJ got injured while windfoiling. Doctors told him to expect at least 9 months off the water... little did they know.
Don't ever let anyone tell you: "impossible" !

Great video
I'm sure JJ just showed the doctor a video of how smooth he foils and they just let him back out there

Btw great size foil waves. Looks like he had the whole playground to himself?

Great stuff Thomas
I love everything about that video......
JJ carving downwind in 25 knots
clear and professional footage beautifully edited
Cottesloe providing a beautiful backdrop
And of course the story, Stoked your back JJ

Well that was a surprise.
Cheers Thomas, awesome drone flying, cool scenes of Cott, amazing resolution and great soundtrack

It's a little frustrating having to take it easy while I build my operated leg back to full strength (12-18 months) and protect the ACL graft. Also lacking control without a proper front footstrap makes downwinding on port tack interesting.
But super-stoked to be back out there

Great job on a fast recovery! I shattered and dislocated my right tibia head a few years ago (imagine grabbing your knee and finding a big gap where the kneecap is supposed to be), biggest thing I learned (but PTs never told me) was when you do leg exercises always do the injured leg separately, because if you do a leg extension for example you will favor the good leg and not realize it, and over time the recovering injured leg will actually get weaker. That is what happened to me, fortunately caught it before I injured the recovering leg, and now injured leg is as strong as the other leg.
