I have a dilemma.. Thinking about getting a small foil board in say 100-110L range. Three come to mind
1. Horue Femto 100/115
2. Slingshot Freestyle 115
3. Mb Boards Pegasus 108

Pegasus can be used for Wing and also has foil tracks along with Tuttle box plus many foot-straps positions and pretty parallel outline. Horue is very light but not sure middle back footstrap position is there plus now double foil track. Slingshot looks OK. But not sure double back straps positions are there. What's also interesting is the weight of these. I have Horue Tiny 110 and it's feather light probably 5+ kg. They are made by Flikka. If you look at Slingshot and although it's smaller it's listed at 8+ kg. Why? Mb Pegasus is listed at 7.9kg. I feel these tiny boards shall weigh close to nothing. 4-5kg max..

What's your thoughts/experience? Which one would you recommend?

Cheers

Never tried any others you mention, but the slingshot freestyle is my favourite foil board ever. It might even take the title from my old mistral XLE, from the 90s, as my all time favourite board.

Haven't seen it. Cannot find the pic of starboard but found JP. However, found this new Ignite freestyle board.. windsurf.star-board.com/products/ignite/
What I like, it can be good for regular sailing and foil. What stumbles me is why not install powerbox + dual track on all these instead of some silly tuttle OR powerbox. JP freefoil is pretty long 204cm and wide tail. Instead of this board you can get Ignite which is only 5cm longer and basically two boards in one.
Boards I was asking about are about 170-180cm long. Pegasus is pretty pretty nice.

Maybe I shall just take my JP Freestyle 106 (225cm long) from 2017 and install dual foil track box and forget about the short foil board business. I'm pretty handy. So basically do this

Wow. I really love the mini-handle :) Very cool design and options. No specs though except volume. Even funky advertisement language: military-grade glass... WWHAAAT?
It's funny, in every single design some different but simple things are missing. For that board I would love to have a bit longer double foil box extending a bit more to the back and actual windsurfing mast track which can be super short. And I'm questioning myself that if I have these questions almost instantly, others may have them as well..

5kgs
I would rather go a bit heavier on build if it makes the board stronger and last longer. If the nose is small like on all three of those boards you shouldn't have very much swing weight at all IMO.
I think brands are starting to make these foil boards too light while sacrificing durability, I hope I'm wrong.

Horue has been making them like that for years now - well before the current foil boom.

These heavier makes no sense because the surface area is likely much smaller than similar volume regular boards. They should be lighter not heavier and reinforced foil box doesn't weigh that much especially with dual tracks..

Some of the new foil boards are so fat, they could probably be made hollow.

To me, this is the perfect board. Small and good volume.
