Governors cup regatta + Motor boat mania, West winds 5 gusting 20 knots. Lot's of slogging for minimum video footage.

Three words come to mind watch that vid

Relaxed, control and speed. A rare combo

Cool vid - good speed, I like the low boom and the camera mount

Nice vid. I need to ask a couple questions for my understanding about things.

1. Why the low boom?

2. Exactly where/how/what is the camera mount?

The "Low boom" is the camera angle. It jumped out at me the first time I saw the video. If you look at the boom connection at the mast sleeve, it's not that low. About where Greg Glazier runs his boom using the same sail. I'm 5'8 and the Boom is at the top of my shoulders for reference.

I made the camera mount that mounts in the center foot strap hole position. I machined the base. The "pole" is an old boom cut down with a vertical carbon strut where the camera is mounted. Even in gopro superview, it's chopping off my head though. Need to extend it back a bit.

Thanks. I like the idea of a camera mounted to the aft end of the board. This is even better than a clew mount.
