Hi
I will get soon a Goya Bolt 127 lt and I have a Supercruiser foil.
I know that Supercruiser need a boar like SB freeride, or other boards with upright strap position but I will use my foil 10% and I will use fin 90%. Somebody try this combination?
I saw an old topic here there somebody talk about Bolt and concave deck, It looks like nobody talk about Surfbent.

www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/Windsurfing/Review/Review-for-Goya-Bolt-Pro-135L-with-foil-box--deck-issues-and-mods?page=1

Anyway thanksin advance

This forum (and my local) is filled with folks who said that and then proceeded (if water depth allows) to reverse those percentages.

Surfbents can be problematic. Some people love them. Some people find that it tears up the luff sleeve, stresses the mast track and can damage some extensions like the Duotone XT (iirc). Most of us aren't finding a big issue with concave decks. The poster in your thread admitted to spending extending time sitting on the board in swell when much of the damage occurred.

Thank you for answer. I really like actually a Surfbent. I have used 3 years in a row now with different mast, boards and extensions and I didn't have a problem.
About the bord/foil combination?
Someone have tried that?

Probably best to show a side-on picture of your foil attached to the board when you get it. Should be able to see where the foil is relative to the mast/footstraps.

Some of the challenges of a hybrid board like that is getting the foil adjusted properly. Others more familiar with that foil could probably then help?

Thank you for answering.
I will post a picture when I get a board.
I have a Starboard Foil 147 also but I want to sell that because I want to have just 1 board for windsurfing/foil. And like I sayed I use to foul 10% and windsurf 90% of times.

have you tried the SuperCruiser with your Foil 147 board?

that should give you an idea of how good of a combo the Bolt will be. i'd expect the Bolt to be a somewhat better much, but quite far from ideal.

I have strengthened the deck of an old iSonic between the rear foot straps with Carbon and used it for foiling (Sabfoil/Moses freeride). You would believe that the width (80cm) would make it ok for foiling.
The disadvantage with such slalom/freerace boards is that the stance (board edge curvature and strap placement) is optimized for hanging out on the side. On foils you want to stand more straight up or angle the board, more like standing "vertically on the board". In addition, you often want a wider tail.
Just some things to take into consideration when looking for a combo board.
So my setup was useful for learning whether I want to continue - and invest in a more appropriate board (which I plan to do). My slalom board still works great - just need longer screws - and is even more robust in the tail ;-).

Ventomax, as another data point to your query on whether the Bolt 127 matches the SB Supercruiser, I started out foiling with the older Goya Bolt 125 and blue 2018 Slingshot Hoverglide foil. The foil was too far back, for the footstraps and the mastfoot too far forward. It just didn't work and held me back until I went to a foil specific board, where the components could be easily balanced. A foil ready freerace board is a compromise at best.

Agree! This is something that I also believe is an issue on my iSonic setup with the Moses 85 790 Vento Freeride Foil kit.

@GuyN, which foil board are you using with that foil?

I tried for the first time yesterday my new Goya Bolt and my Supercruiser, I put mast fot back , high bom as usual. It is less wider than my SBFoil 147 but after 10 minutes I could fly with control and be more relaxed than my SB Foil 147. Front wing I moved in front positionto have a bit longer fuselage. Most of the time I fly strapless but I try to use front strap to and the board acceleration was amazing and scary. Wind was 10kts average wind 15kts in a gust. I think I can tot attach video here

Snowsurf, Sorry, I am no longer using the Slingshot HG foil. I changed to Phantasm foils, Goya Airbolt, then Fanatic Foilstyler, both with tracks... and haven't looked back.

Yeah, I get more and more tempted to switch to tracks.
