Has anyone tried it ?
Found this video, but not very explicit.
Just asking cause I can get one for dirt cheap to fit on a kids formula board and my race set up doesn't allow me to ride waves, blessed thing is just too fast ! ![]()
And ever since I tried the supercruiser I've been thinking "swell riding at low speed ....hmm yes !!!!"
I have tried Surf Foils for windsurfing in the rear, with short surf fuselages. It works, but not great. I've also tried them mounted way forward on a board, up where SUPs mount them. It works, but not great.
The best is really getting a surf wing with a proper long fuselage that puts the wing in the right spot under the board. Then the windsurfer behaves like you want, in every way, and it wave rides and surfs slow and fun.

Do it, it's the best new experience for me since starting waveriding.
This is bringing the fun of riding waves to chop and small waves.
I use a Slingshot Infinity 84, short fuse, small rearwing, 70cm mast, position B setup, mounted at the very rear of my us-rails for supfoiling. This is about 42 cm back of mast to tail, inbetween the supfoil postion at 50cm and the position of my tuttle for my freerace windfoil at about 20 cm back of mast to tail.
The ride is strapless and in a more centered position, sooooooo fun.
But switch off your learned cuback technique with a hard turn over the backfoot. With a foil you get some serious aerials with this.
Freerace foiling for me only happens on flat water anymore.
