For those of us who ave tried and been so sapped of energy in getting out through shore break.
Can any who have been successful share your tips?
Eat a lot before you go.. except for that, Until now it also took me a rough 15 minutes to get deep enough to waterstart. Have to say I haven't been on the sea in less than 25 knots..
maybe that you can get up earlier than you know if you time it right and get flying right from the bat.
15 min sounds about it.
plus about kilometre down the beach.
15-20kts cross cross on.
i think a rip actually got me out.
So after getting out it was a realisation that I'm still at the expending nervous energy stage. But the head high sets rolling in kept me out longer due to the fear factor of going back in.
so all in all it was for one swell ride in that before it broke I chickened off th back then followed it in till then in the wash I chickened out not sure of depth. Which turned out to early and became an undignified wash up to shore and then getting board and rig and foil out of water became a whole new skill set I need to master.
