I've had that board. (Thedoor has it now.) And I have that foil. If I were to set it up the way he does it would indeed try to leap from the water. I find I am trying to keep my foil IN the water however so i use a longer mast and keep it further back.
Similar board. I have put the foil further than the stock 10cm gauge so I marked it up at a later time. I usually keep it at 12cm, which is where the mast is under my rear foot.I wish I had a better pic showing where the front wing is relative to the two straps. I find I still need a little more of my weight backwards when pumping especially, such that my front foot moves out of the strap and back. When i try to jump I am pretty bad but I find it hard to leave the water. I think I am doing it wrong (probably staying too sheeted in).I can adjust between this and the iqfoil setup relatively well, the freeride setup is a bit twitchier though.

Good to see other pro's sharing the knowledge and/while respecting the early adaptor! I love that the video is called "Full Equipment Breakdown"! I know if I tried any of those jumps both me and the gear would have a full breakdown! It's also really refreshing to hear another top sailor promote board length, volume and shorter foil masts as good traits for foilstyle. You gotta figure pro foilstylers need low swing weight more than any of us.
Know what you mean by full equipment breakdown. I think of the M8 loads every time I pop out the water lol.
That aside good to see this sort of content and the KV videos enjoying the swells and airtime.
