Hi!I became an owner of a hardly used 2020 GA Vapor Air 8.0 sail, however I have an issue with the lower camber. While rigging the sail and adding downhaul the lowest camber keeps rotating or even popping out of its original place, leaving the other cambers unable to turn to the other side. I added a similar, but smaller camber to its place (the highest camber of a '12 vapor) now it works but the new camber's size is 47 and the original's is 52 so it's not really a lasting solution...I use the 90% dedicated 490 GA mast with the sails just as 2 other riders as well here, who never had the same issue. The camber looks just fine, swapped it with the top camber, had the same issue. If I rig the sail and put the cambers in only by using downhaul and no outhaul the camber stays still but last time it was a 3 man job so I think the only proper way is to use the outhaul as well while putting the cambers into their place (Ross Williams did the same in the rigging video).Did anyone else had the same issue? I've never seen a camber completely popping out freely to the mast sleeve...Thanks for your replies, cheers from Hungary!

I know nothing of these sails but the cambered sails I do own require partial downhaul, probably 3-4cm less than spec, plus outhaul, to pop cambers on. Then full downhaul.

+1. On my sails, around 10-12cm from full downhaul is the ticket and about 2-4cm short of full outhaul. Some outhaul keeps the battens from being too curved and forcing themselves off the mast. OTOH, full outhaul tightens the luff sleeve too much and doesn't give enough room for the cam to be beside the mast before slipping on.

You'll figure out over time the magic amount of downhaul and outhaul for your sail. Some really strong sailors can pop them all on without downhaul but I'm not a really strong sailor. First time I rigged my Severne, it took me a half hour and much cursing. It now takes about 5 min. fwiw, I do have some Gaastras but they are rec sails so not quite as much tension. They do like some outhaul as well or the cams will definitely pop off.
