I attach an email from AS regarding the webinar held recently. AS taxpayer funding in FY19 was $9.5m (via the Australian Sports Commission) so it's good to see our our money promoting foiling windsurfing rather than some monohull designed in 1963 (eg the 470).
"Hello foiling community,
Thank you for participating in our recent "Future of Foiling in Australia" webinar featuring AS National Pathway Coordinators for the Windfoiling and Kite Foil Racing classes, Arthur Brett and Ryan Palk. Our video recording of this webinar is now live! The recording can be accessed here:
Great video with interesting insights from the legendary Arthur Brett on sailing v Windsurfing continuum and the valuable role of foiling and non foiling classes in maintenance of the grass roots of the sport.
Great video. That's the Netherlands Olympic path. Fin/slapper for the basics then foil asap. Over to you Arthur.Finn looked great on the foil...
First thing they need to do is hire whoever is working with the Olympic Aerial Skiing Team. $6.5million dollars to build a facility which will be used by how many people?
