Without a doubt my favorite part of wind foiling seeking out down winders and staying as close to the swells as possible!

Sorry about the camera angle as you cannot see the wave face from mast mount, I need JJ to swing by with his beach camera set up
(it's not that far from W. Australia to Florida is it? only a couple of upwind legs ).

Our North winds are starting to taper off for the season so I might get 1 or 2 true downwinders left, we shall see?
I start at Jetty Park (Cape Canaveral) and foil down to cocoa beach pier with a stop off at the break at Cherie Down park, it does get super shallow in places and you have to stay high on the foil or you may get rinsed.

Lastly, if you launch in shore pounders you will know its a right pain in the rear but this day I managed to time it just about right...you'll see which I think the best way is to get out while holding your kit, swimming and some luck.

Looks so fun and nice gybes
You know the waves are good if the surfers are out. You need your mom to come back from the UK to film.

Cheers Connor. She arrived the day after this wind foil session and looks like she will be going back the day before the next north wind. Aaag

Dean,
Thanks for the vid!
Your down winders are not done. They are just switching direction. Now your looking for a solid SW seabreeze to ride from the pier to the jetties!
Meanwhile, 400 miles to the north I just had my first session without a wetsuit! WOOP WOOP!

Cheers David

What's a wetsuit you speak of?

We do not seem to get many south or south west winds here its normally SE, E and NE but it would be fun to try starboard tack ridding out for a change and that's IF I could get through the monster shore break down at the Pier.

I'm going to have to practice my wavefoiling more and check it out on the east coast again. Looks like you're having a great time there!

There is another Jetty Park at Fort Pierce if that's closer for you? In a North wind it's rated as the premier wave foiling spot on the east coast. It's amazing deep water swells there.

Either one is a 2-3 hour drive so probably on a good north wind weekend. Had a winging buddy actually just move close to Jupiter.

Man we have !. Last Friday evening was probably the best since I started a year ago. 18-23 knots, but steady and never dropped below 18. I think I went over an hour without ever dropping off the foil. And that was on a 3.6 sail .
