Now I know why the WA foilers love foiling fully powered in swell...its insanely fun!
We don't exactly get ocean driven swell on lakes in Texas, BUT when we get the right wind direction and wind speed, we do have
one special place that can jack up some nice size lumps to play around in (a mini Hood River, ha!).
For the first hour when the wind was at its strongest, I couldn't stop smiling 
when you can rip into a turn aided by a swell face
and you don't foil out, the adrenaline level goes through the charts. I wish I had put the boom mount for the go pro camera to show
the swell height as the mast mount does not show the full picture.

Yes it is the best Dean. Opens up a lot of possibilities! Makes you feel like a surfer riding those waves with basically no sail power.
It doesn't look windy from the camera angle but I believe you. Your a big guy on a small wing, small sail and ripping

We're lucky to get epic windswells in summer - it's why Perth is renowned as a downwinder in the surfski community.
Very cool. I am also, a big fan of the one hand just forward of the harness lines for riding the swell. Not a complete flagging eg grabbing the mast, so you retain a little bit of power to continue down the line.

The first hour was the windiest and I was way too excited to get out there and forgot the go pro! most of the footage was when the wind started to die down a bit.
When you're foiling on the peak of a swell combine with the mast height it feels like you're way up there

The gliding sensation going down the face on a foil is maximum fun factor! I find going one hand can sometimes help balance things out, if I am leaning back going down the face sometimes its a little too much foil pressure and not so fun things start to happen

I haven't been to the Gorge yet its bit of a drive (you can of course fly but I would want to use my own kit).
If I remember correctly Lancelin gets a bit shallow until you get further out, but have you foiled other areas North or South of Perth?
