This is not me - my skills are lightyears away from that!
Maybe racers will find it interesting, although the bigger sail will make it very challenging!
It looks like Balz Muller doing the duck tack -- he's one of the best foilers wind/wing foilers on the planet (free style). I doubt anyone will try this in an actual race, except maybe him.
Some kind of foiling tack is definitely on my bucket list (in estimated order of difficulty)
1) Foiling tack
2) forward loop (non-foiling)
3) breaking 30 knots on my slalom board
4) Some type of wave riding
5) still deciding on number 5 maybe entering a race

The old school duck tack Balz does requires the sail to go completely neutral during the duck. A cambered race sail cannot go neutral, which makes ducking it straight into the wind just about impossible (even if you could manage to go under the clew). Perhaps someone like Balz or Amado could pull one off for a video with a smaller race sail, but I can't see how they'd ever reach the level of consistency that they'd use it in racing.
I can do non-foiling duck tacks in light wind, but my success rate goes down quickly when the wind goes above 10 knots. In 20 knots (which is the minimum apparent wind you'd have on the foil), it is 0. I have seen one of the best freestylers in the US (Andy Brandt) do foiling duck tacks, which were pretty cool, but he did not foil though.

I am going to one of his camps this summer maybe he can teach me
