Thanks

Personally I feel that the size of the board is less important than the style of sailing you are trying to do. Are you a "big sail, small foil" or a "small sail, big foil" sailor? So much of the early advice that can be found came from the latter group of slalom style sailing and that (I have found) doesn't work for me, being in the former group.

Still working on my jibes to get consistency but on freeride foil boards (assuming that's what you have?), a few things helped. Video below of last session before I broke my 360 cam, you can see exit with speed and get back to flying again but not flying through clean.

Straps in inboard position
Having ample wind power (not light wind)
Switching front foot AFTER the jibe (Probably the biggest early difference because your tail is likely pretty narrow and has less room to keep weight back and balance by stepping first, like it would on a dedicated foil board)
Keeping power in on the entry (still struggle sometimes)
Look through the turn, not at the sail
Flip with hand at front near mast and let sail rotate on its own while focusing on carve
Exit more downwind and flip/fix feet before coming more upwind or you will be overwhelmed with power

Faster foils change the order to step then flip, usually.

And a pro doing it:

FWIW,
Here's a large radius slow Jibe. I had a broken camera mount, so trying to get back without any sudden movements .

I use small sail and big foil concept. My biggest sail is 6.9 and my foil is a Supercruiser 1700. I have confidence with foil, can foil strapless or with my front foot inside. I never tried both foot in a straps because I got the board just 3 weeks ago and I know it is easer just with front foot inside especially with Supercruiser foil because I need to be more straight with that. Anyway this is yesterday 6.9 sail 1700 foil 11-14 kts.

The first part of that video had some information that I will find useful. I have been improving at my jibes, but with my new Reef Warrior board that I should have fairly soon, the intent is to ride strapless and be able to "surf" the waves while flagging the sail. I have started riding my Levitator 150 strapless as of yesterday and felt completely lost at first. No confidence whatsoever. But it didn't take long and I felt better about trying a jibe. I ended up making a few, but had several good crashes.

Thank you in advice for the video and tips.
I will try to flip the sail first and then switch front foot It will be many crashes for sure but I will fix that!

Trust you are having fun learning to Jibe. I like the distinction Bullroarer made between the different types of windfoiling styles.

I advances much faster once I removed my foot straps. You can put the straps back on once you get it figured out.

Here is an old vid trying to explain what I learnt, also hope you get a laugh and maybe some help

I would emphasize STEADY Rail Pressure and flipping the sail, then moving your feet once you are settled. Also with a bigger sail lean it to the inside to help avoid getting back winded. Hope this helps
