Hi,
Our family (wife, son, daughter) have been windsurfing for quite a few years now and have just sort of eased our way into Wind and Wing foiling recently. We have 3 Neil Pryde Glide Foil sets, one Glide Wind Small, One Glide Wind Medium and One Glide Surf XL (used on a 7' 2") Foil for learning to Wing) we have two long and one short fuselage. I am looking for covers for the two smaller sets of foils (not a whole bag, just the neoprene covers for the foils and stabilisers).
Neil Pryde don't seem to sell any but as you folks go through and discuss lot of different foils, I was hoping someone found a cover (from any brand) that fits or sort of fits the Glide Series Foils "OK". Would anyone be able to recommend one please?
Cheers and thanks for any help!

The 2020 NP Glide model comes supplied with covers
But you can also make covers with a cheap exercise / yoga mat from kmart and some contact adhesive
If you need any tips PM me and I will send some photos of how to do it
Cheers

bubble wrap and sticky tape would be the quickest...
Good point, I just bought a 5m roll of bubble wrap for 10 bucks at bunnings. Bubble wrap inner and packing tape outer. Nice!![]()

Nek Minnit...

I made my own from remains of truck tarpaulin and velcro. Cheap, thin, light and very robust.

Cheers Pat, this could also be a go for me, just wondering how you got the Velcro to stick without pulling off the tarp when you pull them apart?

Naish covers are about $37, wings and fuze attached.
Thanks Lee, do you know whether thy actually fit the NP Glide Series though?

How about some old ski socks for the high aspect wings? And a pair of jeans for the low aspect?
Mmmm. Might work for the stab. Ski socks .... might be a bit stinky though.. ![]()

Yeah true and good for long term storage, but really want something to take to the beach on the foil, mount it on the baord and take it off just before I go out (I normally have a clumsy accident when something falls over and if I can do this at the last minute, biff them in the car... reduces chances of dinging the tips). I think for these, taking them to the water and having seawater drip into it and over it, plus sun .. it's probably goping to fall apart pretty soon.
I got mine made by the local sailmaker (Mortensen Sails).
They're UV resistant and padded inside.

Nice!
I made some covers for my Starboard foils out of left-over flooring vinyl. Similar to the covers on a fin, but had to sew some curve into it for the wing tips. The advantage of the vinyl is that the inside is soft/furry.

I know of some after market covers that have been designed to fit the race foils will be available soon. Hopefully not too far away.

The Velcro pieces are sewn on the tarp. So you cant pull them off.
Thought I better post some pics.
Based on folks earlier advice and with tonyk excellent help on the homemade foil covers, I now have 3 sets of stunningly beautiful covers (well maybe that's tad too enthusiastic) for my own Foils and 1 set for a mate of mine. All from cheapo camping mat material, has a silver foil cover on one side (outside, came stuck on one side of the mat), folded over and cut and glued the insides. Works a treat, can can chuck them in the back of the car without feeling like I will damage them. The Glide Blue have the separate sides, the Glide HP 15 is square enough to just use a single one. kep on with a short loop of bungee. I hang the foils up using those exercise bands. They all have tefel on the screws, I keep them all built up like this.
Thanks again to tonyk.
