I'm considering buying a smaller board for both Foiling and windsurfing. I have the SB foil 177 (Don't need another big board), and am considering the Fanatic Blast. Does anyone here use a Blast for foiling? If so, thoughts?

The Blast has the stubby nose, relative square tail, fin & footstraps in same position to other foil boards. The Blast or Air Bolt Pro would be a good free ride board that could be used for foiling. The 2 larger Air Bolt Pro has DT & track mount. 2018/19 Blast in 130/145 had the foil approved boxes and all sizes in 2020 had approved boxes.

Huh??!, are you talking Goya Bolt or Goya Air Bolt?
The Air Bolt is a dedicated foiling board. Mate of mine has it and is Goya local distributor and says it's not for (fin) freeride use. In fact he's trying to sell me the Air Bolt

The Blast is a fantastic board for free ride free race even. Didn't try to foil on it but saw one of the ion club cabo verde station managers take it out with the foil. Seemed to have good fun.
If you want to stick with Fanatic check out Nils Bach latest vid on YT where he tests a foil ready free race board.
If youre open to other freerace foil ready boards. I feel very comfortable foiling on my Goya Bolt 127L and is a super fin ws board.
I was also looking at the Simmer Style Monster 127L (see Mr Ben Profitt videos on windfoiling for dummies).
I also looked at the Blast btw!
Yes you are right. Somehow I mixed the Bolt Pro (free ride) with Air Bolt Pro and assumed the ladder was also a free ride board with foiling/windsurfing. The Bolt Pro has the approved foil box in 117, 127, 137 sizes. Sorry for the confusion.

hei no worries I thought maybe I missed something
Color this with my relative inexperience, as I've been windsurfing 2 years but only planing for ~2 months, but, I love my Blast 145.
I've been using it for either fin and foil. I've already learned a ton with it and am still learning more (like how to planing gybe without eating it). It was recommended to me to move the straps completely outboard in the second to furthest aft position and it rides really well with fin or foil that way.
For foiling I was having real trouble with the slingshot i76 wing until i went out on windier days with the mast base really far back and the foil in the furthest forward C position. I've ridden it with the i99 in fairly low wind in comparison.
If you do foil it, I recommend drilling out the board to fit the big fullsize bolts, I think they're m10, and you'll need to buy longer stainless bolts to get them to reach the slingshot tuttle fitting through the thick tail.
I stripped the 6mm bolt adapter on the third time out with it and just decided to drill the board when not fuss with the skinny bolts. Fanatic has a post saying it's ok to drill as the board foil insert is quite large.
Someone yesterday also broke a 6mm bolt on their slingshot. Others say they don't have a problem but there's a huge difference in strength between those bolts.
