I have been absolutely loving my Axis setup. Quicker, carves like crazy and super nice glide. Then recently I was sailing with a buddy and he said I looked like I had the new setup dialed in but I was "ruddering" my turns. He said think of a sailboat, a racing dingy, using its rudder to turn. Up on plane and cruising it can turn nice and quick with its rudder, even surf around a bit. He said that's basically what I was doing as I was standing too upright, board was a bit flat as I was carving around using just heel to toe and small sail inputs. My foil mast looked, and was acting like a boat rudder. Up until then I felt like I was carving around through the chop pretty good but he said to really bend at the knees and load up power from my body through the foil. Really push through the turns. I have been doing this now for a few sessions and what a difference! I went from cruising around swell and chop to REALLY carving it up. Board is more rail to rail and I can load up my legs and the foil and shoot out of a turn like a cannon. Jibing too, low and bent at the knees, load up the sail in a nice gust, load up the foil and really push through, the acceleration is amazing. I can really feel the foil more getting low and powering these turns, actually feel the rear wing carving off my back foot and this simple correction of not "ruddering" through my turns has taken my sailing to a new level. The centered back strap of the new wizard with the Axis setup (930 front, 370 rear)is killer and even 1-2' chop in the river super fun! Don't be a Rudderer!
