A decent seabreeze, SW 22-25 knots.

Mark - impressive control of the Infinity 76's lift downwind
Simon - countless epic carves on the 65

Thanks for filming JJ! I love that the camera is stationary it's a nice change from all the boom cam or drone footage we see these days. I am still blown away by your beautiful venue with 25 knot seabreezes! Great sailing Mark and Simon!

I agree beach shot footage is great, and WA foilers are lucky to have you JJ and your patience as a camera man. Plus you can anticipate everyone's moves and transitions, to a non-foiler they don't really understand what's going on.

The last time I asked my wife to shoot some footage, she set up the tripod and within 10 minutes our 120 lb black lab has wrapped his leash around the tripod leg, saw some birds and took off! The result was a $500 Sony lens completely trashed

Great camera work JJ!
Glad I could make an appearance to show just how smooth and fast Mr Smooth is!
Way too much sail for me (4.5 could easily have been on 3.7) love the way the 76 wing allows you to just depower and cruise the runners.
Longest downwind/upwind I have done so far.
Time to get on the 65 wing and step up.

Your right Dean, we are lucky to have JJ
Great footage again JJ, captured the speed of some of those runs on an ever moving ocean.
The 4.7 was ok off the wind when I committed to bearing away but it did get a bit of a handful towards the end.
Great work Mark on the i76 when your fully powered in lumpy conditions it takes some skill to sail

My best mate and partner in crime "Oakley"... his nickname is the Dark Destroyer the list of carnage is staggering and survivor of a Brown Recluse spider bite, its one of the worse to get nipped by over here.

What a cracker of a lad - definitely a windfoiler not a winger

Are those his gnaw marks on the post in the background? One of our 4 footed friends did a number on a few of ours.

Yes that's from when he was a pup and was teething.
He also chewed the carpet, window sills, stairway, fireplace and furniture...about $3k of damage glad to say he's past that phase now, just makes do with the odd shoe.

Yes, JJ, please tell us about that lens. Awesome video. You're using your time out of the water very well.

Another Great Video!
Awesome Carves Mark and Simon.

Looks like Simon was on a 4.7m and 65 combo and very comfy. And Mark mentioned he would have been happier on a 3.7m with his 76. Although it looked to me like Mark was still having a blast.

Simon or JJ; I love riding my Moses 683 but picked up 790 for next summer. I would appreciate your thoughts on when you switch to your bigger foil (76?) with regard to conditions (swell vs flat water) and wind strength or anything else.

We mostly swap from the 76 to the 65 when the wind hits about 18 knots.
Both wings have great range - the 76 in particular is amazing when you get properly used to it.
I can get going in 10-12 and still have fun in 25 knots.

The 65 will glide though lulls of 15 knots at my weight of 80 kgs, Tim who's lighter can keep it going in about 12 knots.

Jesper and I bought a Pansonic V800 camcorder which has a Leica 24x optical zoom and "intelligent zoom" to 48x.
I'm far from expert but worked out a reasonable quality tripod is essential to pan using higher magnification - so we also bought a Manfrotto MVH502A Fluid Head and MVT502AM Tripod.
