Here are a couple of shorts that I hope put a smile on your face. No Hess's were hurt in the filming of these vids

My other half reckons all foiling videos must have crashes to be interesting

Done my fair share!

it's so annoying how the waves vanish with 360 cameras. Looks almost flat in the video but I know to look for wave height clues around d the action!

Too true Berowne, that wave was plenty big. The camera height also does not help. I figure its about (2ft deck to water + 6'4 + 1ft camera extension) 9ft off the water and I am not usually at the foot of the wave. So that wave face was probably over head high which is plenty big for my skill level.
The rinse cycle at Kanaha is pretty forgiving as there is not a lip/tube to crush you That said a few seconds, even on a head high wave is long enough

Geez, guys, pick deeper water. That reef off Kanaha is murder on gear (including your feet).

Ahh its not so bad.
I don't even windsurf without booties the reef can do damage.
Interestingly; now that I foil most of the time at Kanaha I find I check the tide charts more than the wind forecast. It is rarely not windy enough too foil but at times the tide can be too low to foil on the inside at Kanaha. Then I just go to another launch site.
