Nice video! Did I hear him correctly, 25 knots of wind at times with the 9 metre? Throw in the open water and that's hardcore.
I really like the look of the prototype board as well. it looks to have flatter nose rocker and more tail width at the back strap. That was my problem with the old model 100, it was meant for formula use as well and was too narrow in the tail. If the new Starboard 100 wide foil board has these new features as well as those massive starboard cut outs I think they will be an extremely competitive option.
I have the fanatic falcon foil 100 wide and I love it don't get me wrong but the tail cut outs are to small and it sticks to the water a fair bit when I'm trying to get going. The plus side is that the Falcon foil 100 comes up a lot smoother and as a result is easier and quicker to hit top speed upwind. We may have two boards with equal leverage in the tail with one that pops super early and one that is a bit smoother to hit top speed. Or maybe the Starboard will do both lol. That would be nice. Personally I prefer the bigger cut outs.

.
I've been in gusts like that and it's scary and I get as hard of an upwind angle as I can to kill the lift.
The seas mostly looked terrifying with awful swell reflections from the rocky coast. The board looks good. I thought it looked similar to the Tabou 100 air ride & JP 100cm with very deep cutouts but overall thinner & less volume. Its a departure from the iqfoil 95 plan shape (holds full width to the stern, not tapered).
Wondering what caused his bike accidents on the road, some of those countries have lots of motorbike and taxis turning every which way without turn signals. If that was the case, have to wonder why he just did not get an indoor stationary cycle before or after the first accident.
