Rather than buy a dedicated 7.0 foil sail I decided to take my MauiSails TRXi slalom rig to Barracouta Sails and had a new clew eyelet sewn in at the sails widest point, just above the booms batten.
The sail felt tighter with the new clew used. Better feel upwind for sure, but I was surprised to find that I preferred the traditional eye for crosswind foiling!

Really neat idea!
I am not using race sails. But can definatly see the benefit there. My old Neil pryde V8 street racer 6.0 has 3 clew positions. Combined with the unique luff head gets a nice stable tight leech.
Even for me jumping on a wave sail then going on a freeride sail; that usually have a bit of a lower boom for more speed and better twist I guess making it a more forgiving sail to windsurf with.
For fun freeride foiling I really like the higher boom on my wave sail. The other nice thing is the sail is more maneuverable and easier to duck and just feels more compact. I think no matter what foil discipline a tighter leech is good idea.
