Byron Bay foiling

If you are on foil and like it bumpy, Byron Bay is the bomb. Just me, the dings and kites. Just one thing, avoid coming in downwind from The Pass at Clarke's Beach. Did this the day before and got rinsed. Luckily just a bent extension and some bark off the nose

Looks like fun there Jason. Do you make day trips to Byron or stay overnight?

Bit of both, will make a day trip on a good forecast with mates. Or treat the other half to a nice weekend if forecast is marginal everywhere...

Have 899 wing for lighter conditions

Careful of the middle reefs on a low tide on foil - they can come out of the water in the trough of a wave, good to launch off though (on fin) so you have port and starboard ramps (coming into the pass and going towards the wreck )

Yeah know them well, lived there for a few years in the 90's.
