Hi All. Have recently got a foil board and want to protect the nose of the board as much as possible. I've got some rubber stripping to put around the front but I am wondering what everyone has used to fix it to the board with? Is there an adhesive out there that is super strong but that can also be removed in years to come? Cheers - Chris

Check out my post with details on a super durable nose protector held on with spray on contact cement, which could be removed with care.

Silicone caulk works well

I think the best protection is something like this, doesnt need to be carbon.
Velcro it on, so if you do take a big hit you can remove it to inspect for any damage underneath.
A friend has one and has taken several hits when he has catapulted his 100kg when hitting fish. His last big one broke the boom clamp and mast but the board and protector was ok.

I've used Gorilla glue for sticking a Unifiber pad down, as the board under the pad wasnt completely flat.

Rather than putting protection on the nose of the board, I am using deviator, Chinook brand. I did not want something to change the air flow on the nose.

Using the SurfBent deflector since day 1. Riding a relatively light, maybe fragile board. The Horue Tiny 110L. So far, all is good. Using the Chinook USA base and extensions. Some Euro pin base users have noted the wrong impact (onto the release button) can be an issue on some Euro pin uni. Bit pricey, but functional. Option to the Deviator.
