Hi, looking for advice on wing/stab combo for freeride. Just bought a Sabfoil Kraken set 2nd hand which I intend to use for windfoiling (I'm intermediate, 85kg, just standing first foiling gybes). Boards SS Wizzard 130 and FReestyle 115.

I haveBalz Pro 799 and 899 wings and the set came with the 399 stab. Not sure if that's the best fit though. Have yet to try so don't have a clue as to how it will work, but nothing to compare it with anyhow.

thx!

I use a 85 cm modus mast with a w799 with hs900 fusalage with a stabiliser s399. I like it a lot, and i recently bought a newer and a little longer kraken set ; a 93 cm mast and the same w799 and 430 stabiliser but i have not used this yet so i can not tell my experience. 70 kg horue 105 ltr foil board and severne foilfreek 5.6 and 5.2. and 4.8

I don't think there is a best stab for 799, but the most popular seems to be the 399. I personally can't find fault in the ancient 450. 399 felt too skatey for me, but two of the top freeride foilers said I just needed to give it more time. I would go 399 as you already have it and don't be afraid to shim it if you want a bit more front foot pressure.

I have the 799 and 399 combo. I shim the 399 to suit whatever foot pressure, etc., I want to achieve.

799 with the 430 stab for me. Usually +2 shim and 903K fuse. But it's all so dependant on board, weight, mast length, UJ position etc!

Have fun experimenting...
