Looks like a possible artefact, there is a 10kt difference between the 2 sec and 5x10, but the 43kt 250m looks interesting. The Suunto is not renound for it's accuracy.

Looks good to me. Probably was last run of the day, then he was able to just roll up all his gear to fit in back of car. No de rigging required

Mmm, seems quite... fast

Was at this event:

William (and Pierre) switched to Phantom Foils earlier this year.

I had the Suunto ambit 3, and after an update the data are not consistent. Anyway, is the other 10s are amazing, and close to Goyard! The progress of windfoil slalom is very fast!

Nothing on the Phantom FB, Prince of Speed or elsewhere. Not sure that anyone is actually claiming this as official. I wonder if he uploaded his data either unaware of the spike or not having time to deal with it?

Wondering if falling from foil height impacts readings. In my case something is clearly off with the data ?? unless i can foil on land

edit you can see the anomaly here

I'm surprised the GPS Foilsurfing analysis software didn't pick up the artifact.

yeah, there is a tower with those real big electricity wires right in the area where I did my land foil run.

This was the fastest w/surfer on the same day (ex GPSSS).
I reckon if it had been a killer gust, one of the windsurfers present would have hooked it also.
I guess it's a good example of the data problems with the non approved GPS watches which the GPSTC/GPSSS tech crews warn about.
