3 D printing foil wings

With the 3D printing technology and material options.Has anybody pursue this path way ?

Theoretically possible but the size of a front wing would require a fairly large printer if you want to print it from once piece.

A mate 3D prints the moulds then builds the wing from PVC foam and carbon fibre.

but as mentioned above because of printing limitations, I've seen mostly cores in sections and molds being printed.

Cores/molds make a lot of sense. I worry about stiffness and fragility of the typical 3d printed ABS/PLA being used directly as a foil. But most of my experience with 3d printers was years ago and maybe there are better materials since then?

Even high end 3D printing materials are no where near the strength of the most basic Carbon Composite wings currently in production. #D printed molds & cores could(& have been) used to good effect.

Could always 3D print in metal
