That is the 115 freestyle. The 87 only comes out in our consistent summer thermals ![]()
I was on a 4.7 that first bit where I pump onto the foil it was probably 15mph later on 20-25mph.
Bonus footage from same day

Great foiling the board looks tiny! I have foiled a friends FS115 and though that was small.
you definitely get some time on water, between wind, wing, prone and body board your the local Kai Lenny ![]()

haha maybe if kai lenny was an grump old geezer that drinks too much beer
His 4 in 1 video was inspirational for me though
Smooth transitions- quiet feet, fast hands. The conditions look fun. I love that 360 gopro nobody around here has one. great for capturing other sailors also.
I haven't gotten out in any good waves on the 799 yet but have a feeling it will work nicely. Been using my 4.7 a lot also, yesterday in 8-15kts max finally got to test out the light wind capabilities. It is so easy to pump up and stay there with aggresive lift but doesn't over lift carving or as you speed up. Just super playful in the tiny waves, I found a new dimension pumping to get on the swell you can really use your legs but also push down on the rig in unison with the pumps while giving a bit of s tug on the backhand for wind power. By far the best wing I've foil so far out of slingshot timecode 68, infinity 65/76. Moses 873, 683, 720, 639, 790. Pretty much does everything better then those wings and almost as fast as the small wings.
Couple of wingers here rave about the Balz 799 foil.
Bud loves his 940.
I've been using 1150 Naish.
All about the same sizing..sailor and foil size.
..and that vid just looks like pure fun..
Note...Coyote Point does take an often 300 yard slog to find clean wind..

I find that the 799 pumps better than any of the other wings I have tried on the long fuse, I think that helps with extend the low end a lot.
Gopro max is cool because you can move the shot around to capture other riders and change the perspective. downside is that anyone you want to film has to be pretty close or the resolution on the render will be too grainy for todays standards and that editing takes longer, but I do think you end up with more interesting footage. Also, the gps tracker does not work in 360 mode on the gopro max. I think the insta 360 is better if you intend to film off a helmet or short pole as the lens on the gopro max are offset and you get a split view
