hey guys,
New to forum.
I shaped my own board this past 6 months - yeah it took ages. I had the blank for a year before i started. lol
My dad used to shaped board for himself on the central coast ages ago when he was young. he helped with glassing.
thanks to WIZZ for the glass and blank.
I made a little vid if you want to watch
That was an entertaining vid,who did the hot coat you or the 'old kook' funny, how about a ride report with video
Great effort and as Ricardo said - very entertaining. Do yourself a favour and get yourself one of these for the next one - makes life a lot easier ![]()

Thanks for the positive feedback fellas.. I only decided to video it all right toward the end.. so glad it was still somewhat enjoyable.
Yeah I have surfed it a few times. I take it out when its small and it goes well. easy to paddle and easy as F to catch waves.
I grew a up a booger and still boog when its bigger, but on this i feel comfy and have a fantastic time!
the old kook is my dad. he did the hot coat - we rooted it tho... the mix was really hot and he decided to try do the fin boxes and straight into the bottom - half way through the hot coat cured - FFFF.. it wasn't pretty. I could defiantly sand it more, but TBH it won't make it feel any different in the water.
I will get a sander if i ever do it again for sure!
I will do a ride review at some stage when i'm not looking it up.. I may get my brother to have a ride on it as he goes pretty good. He would make it a bit more entertaining too!
cheers guys!
