Some great novelty shots there IB. Growing up in North Beach I was always down the beach but never saw any whales through the 80's, early 90's. Shows how much their behaviours have changed since we stopped hunting them in 1978. Only time I recall seeing whales off the Perth coast back then was from my Hastings street apartment in Scarbrough about 1991 & they were pretty far offshore. They're coming quite close to shore further South these days as well....cool to see, but I'm not sure if its a good thing or a bad thing......
