Yes, I bought the 6'6" ****s and giggles as I've stacked on some weight. I didn't like it, too much volume, flat through turns, felt boggy and quad fin setup doesn't seem quite right (has the old FCS fin boxes which is problematic). Never been a fan of swallows either...Pony up and get something from a decent brand/shaper.

Are you guys for real?!?

Took me a decade of surfing torpedo7s and bcfs and single fin beaters and thrusters accidently converted into twinnys and a workers comp pay out before i could get my first real surfboard

Ride as much cheap **** as possible i highly reccomend getting your hands on something insanely low volume that you can just swim underwater with youll feel so much safer tackleing 10 footers with something a quarter your weight then add nore foam from there

Or you know... just jump straight to mayfair grab the perfect board and hop across pass go and instantly realise its you who is lacking not the board and conditions but collect ya $200

But between the 2 options you gave i hope ya grabbed the 6 6 the closer to satan the better

Flying Fish might not be the best option. It's got some issues with volume and performance. At 8 months surfing, you'll probably want something more responsive. Might be worth checking some local shapers or looking for a board that matches your skill level and wave conditions.

Yes, I am for real. Never said I couldn't surf it just stated how it felt. I've had plenty of good foam and magic boards under my feet in 30 plus years of surfing to understand what makes a good board and what tweaks make the difference. Much like Chinese cars of old, I don't consider the AQSS's a good board, better to drop the retail price for one into a decent second hand shape imo.
