Bob shaping one
Cruiser fantastic board but I find them more HP than what I wanted out of a 10 footer
Wished I'd kept the board above
10 foot Noserider its a great ride
one of 3 Cruisers I owned,I kept scaling down the dims because they love HP surfing
Mac generously sent me a 10 inch McT Dolphin one which I have mainly used. Pup gave me a 9 inch Shapers Cutaway (lucky aye!) which I have used just a couple of times so far. I also made a 9 inch Hatchet fin which has had a bit of a workout. I need to spend some time on it playing around with various setups - plan to do this in the second half of next week when I head away for a few days. Fingers crossed we get some swell though. I just have not been spending enough time in the water of late to try diff options.

loved this footage.

+1, so good this one ![]()
I can not watch that all the way through. The waves are just zoo bloody nice - they are incredible. Why would you live anywhere else if you live there! ! ! ! Imagine how much ride time you would have in a normal session. Just not bloody fair. Glad that I have now turned it off as it was going my head in ![]()
My Hot Log is a 10'er and its by far and away THE best board I have owned and it just continues to amaze me with what it can do and handle.
Last week a tiny swell hit the point and I seriously managed to catch an ankle high wave, thing was tiny!!! but then she'll drop into head high drainers as well.
Turns just beautifully of the tail and trims well from the tail but trims amazing from the middle.
Hold as you walk up the board is amazing, progressed more in a few months on this board than in a whole year on the old stick.
I run 2 fins in it, my Captain Fin 11' Pivot on the small stuff and my Alkali 11' Rainbow Rake as it gets bigger and both absolutely excel...
Its almost a one board quiver besides the real big dredgy stuff and really, the only thing holding it back is the rider ![]()

What's wrong with a 9'0..
I love my 10 but to much board most of the time. Having said that it's good fun in anything up to head high and a bit but everyday board I would go for a 9ftr everytime.

For me a 9'er is fine for turning and trimming but the 10'er is way better for glide and definitely for cross stepping/noseriding. some peeps can do that on a 9'er but not my 80 odd kgs ![]()
That's a beautiful collection Vanders, Handcrafted by the master, beer in one hand sander in the other.... yeeeeeowwww ![]()

Thats because you weigh about 65kg in a wettie dripping wet !!!!!
Haha... I was waiting for that...![]()
But yeah being a lite weight sometimes has its advantages.
Andy, my 10ftr is a model t, it's 23 + something wide, volan glass, rolled rails etc, weighs heaps but it is like standing on a footpath. Your 10 ftr looks a lot more suited to everyday surfing then the mod T![]()
Wish I had more chance to ride it but for the waves around here a 9 ftr is way more user friendly. Not fun being a lite weight hanging onto 30 pounds of LB when a 4 footer unloads in front of you.

Dude, if I was 65kg's I'd totally step down for glide and noseriding. I mean, I cant even knee paddle the HL. Who shaped the Model T??? I guess in my weight class I find if the waves are fast and steep and no good for logging I grab either my 7' MCT Bobsled or my SubX ![]()
hey vanders that triple stringer with the volan rails isn't that Mct is it.
Yeah mate, the last 2 boards are both 10' McT Redline's
I have not joined the 10 foot club yet!
In fact, I haven't even ridden a 10 footer! 9'6 is the longest Longboard I have ridden... (Aside from longer 666'ers!)
I've ridden at least 7 different 9'6 boards...
Vander's that "coffee" / "old school" tint looks nice!
Thanks mate, that's the latest edition to the quiver, I was after the retro look and The Lady didn't disapoont. ![]()
