The Australian Longboard Surfing Open was held at Kingscliff February 28 to March 3 2018. The Mens Pro division was a sanctioned WSL LQS event and was won by Dane Pioli over Jack Entwistle. This video shows highlights of the heats and final.
Great little video mate, if only the rest of the competitors were lucky enough to get waves like that huh ?
There's a lot of organisation involved in these comps and so much effort put in but huey doesn't always play the game.
I took a few pics each day that I thought a few of you might enjoy.
Day 1 sunrise free surf before kick off;
Day 2 morning set up;
Day 2 PM over 40's and my support crew 
....and on Day 3 & 4 we went elsewhere to find some waves to ride;

It would be like winning the lotto holding a comp and getting great conditions at Kingscliffe IMO.
From what I've seen the guys and girls did extremely well.
Nice shots SA..I thought the size would be smaller there as it was hardly breaking down my way.
Shoulda been there the week before !!
