Thought this may help keep the "longboard" theme rolling.

This is my next purchase - will place the order in the next fortnight. Have spoken to the guys at Bing (Margaret) and she recommended 10' or 10'02" for my larger belly.

Also spoke to Mike Black from Surfapig blog (super nice bloke and extremely helpful considering I am a random internet creep who emailed him asking how his stick went)

Going to roll with the 10'er.

I know many dislike this shape and what it represents (forking hipsters )

However after speaking to the above

I

literally CAN NOT WAIT until I have this sexy swine in my hands!!

Nice choice leashless, lovely look bit of gear.

Make sure you have a lumberjack beard before you jump on board.

She is a looker - I was going to ask for a pink cigar band across the board however thought as it's a throw back to the past (although slightly modernised) I'll keep it traditional looking. Thick stringer, volan, glass on D and big bing label.

I may have to grow my beard out, buy some boat shoes (is this still a hipster thing?) and wear a beanie in summer though.

Nice! Those bing boards are siiiiiiiiiick, one of the locals here had the "elevator" and I was seriously looking at the "levitator" or the takayama model t.

I'm also not a fan of the shape but different strokes hey, hope she rides amazing for ya. There's something about riding a 10'er, the glide is amazing and I just can't get off mine and ride anything else. I get lots of comments that mine makes my surfing look really relaxed, and I'm a massive kook soooooo...

As for the boat shoes, that's actually an elitist homosexual thing, hipster code is either no shoes or massive lace up boots, must be an obscure brand

Are you saying there might be few elitist homosexuals in here...

I'll be ringing my dad later And asking some serious questions, he has at least 3 pairs..

See a lot of Bings around here, nice looking boards.. Don't see too many pigs though.
Pieter also makes a nice one.

Turn around time is about 8-10 weeks including 4-5 weeks for shipping. Price is on par with the more popular high end boards here (McTavish, Thomas etc).

If you take away the shipping cost - boards are very cheap in the states.

I have felt a few Bings and the quality is fantastic - helped make the decision easier.

Haha here's to getting some good pictures taken on that beauty mate, I can see it now, arvo sunset, fun size and peeling and getting your soul arch going. Then getting that picture smack bang on a magazine front. You'll definitely have to grow that beard out now and wear your those boat shoes!
