Red thumbs ! Where is your imagination. August is pretty much the windiest month on Maui - fact. Both of those sports love a bit of wind.

I have been told August is south shore prime time for good longboard waves so I guess now after asking my question the south of Maui should also be good. Just booked for Bali Ted 11th March 2 weeks

Bro I hear the best thing is to go December or Jan and just go straight to a place called Jaws which breaks pretty much all the time...if you can see it from the cliffs your golden...they love longboards out there...everyone rides 9'0's or above...its even good for girls apparently

Yeah. Dw season.

I hope you are tucked out of the wind where your going mac because unless you and the fam do the wind water surfing attractions you might want to take up flying a kite

Will be nicely offshore down the southern end - work the same conditions as your normal spot on Ohau.

Yes I figured that after posting my question.

Lacey it was clear to see it was your first time surfing the pass in 25 years.
At high tide you made the rookie mistake of going too far and paid the price
of the overland journey back up the point,I was going to send a search party
out for you

Paddling across. No much damage.
I gave this a guy a bit saying you hit me. He was a kook kooking it on the take off. I actually did the right thing and took the foam on but he followed me.

He was kinda laughing at me until he realized the the nose of his short board was snapped and hanging off to one side.

Then he went oh.oh.oh
Sweet for me
