Yeah we've been invaded - I'm out by 8am now sadly mate .... one thing I've gained from it is how bad it must be to surf around these pillocks up in Metro Perf

It's insane around here. I have 4 caravan parks within 1km of my place. They are all packed. I'm just gonna lie on the floor in a foetal position, under the ceiling fan and wait for them all to leave.

The first wave was lumberjack's back in spring, now its just everyone on the weekends. Had plenty of days during the week with hardly anyone out though. There were only 3 of us yesterday & although it was smaller than today, it was breaking a lot better

Oh this old chestnut bloody tourists, a matey.......................................................so yes our local area has a massive increase in numbers as well , im guessing most places out of the city do .

Don't grizzle too much , the money the tourists bring in contributes to allowing us to live in paradise . If you work or or some of your family work in the tourism industry be nice to the visitors and they will spend more cash ,while they are shopping they are not surfing .

And the obvious comment, that has to be said is to, teach your children ...... Cobra....It,s not YOUR beach ! is it

Mmmmm ... the post surf pie in the morning, the post surf lagers at night. Life's simple pleasures.

PS... Not many lumberjacks at my local beachie, but i try to dodge the popular spots. Hipsters like to preen where they can be seen.

I thought you were on about tourists from the bush myself. If you speak metaphorically you risk being misunderstood.

And to answer your post, WA is too redneck and behind the times to allow many "lumberjacks". Where we are currently staying, nary one in sight, let alone in the water (surfed a perfect 5' peak with only two mates this morning) and where I live the little ****s from the city surf elsewhere.

ive grown one due to laziness but can guarantee it doesn't come with a flanny or brill cream in the hair, basically it comes down to the fact I hate shaving. Hipster? Never! I wear a leggie.

No pics ted , along with the heat wave had shoulder high northeast groundswell , as good as it gets - 4 hours surf till too buggered to keep going ,

normally this beach is deserted ( surf there a lot ) but the heat wave bought out all the visitors from the nearby caravan park .

Love tassie weather yesterday 33 degrees Tuesday was 16 degrees and sleeting .
